Galaxy Watch9 • Watch Ultra2 • Strava
Connect Samsung Health to Strava from the Samsung Health app on Android: open Settings, choose Services, select Strava and authorize the account. GPS-based activities recorded through Samsung Health can sync to Strava, while the 60-day Watch9 and Watch Ultra2 offer depends on your market and account eligibility. Strava Routes was announced as a staged Samsung Health integration, so check your own apps instead of assuming it is already live everywhere.
How do I connect Samsung Health to Strava on Galaxy Watch9?
- Pair Galaxy Watch9 or Watch Ultra2 with a supported Android phone and finish Samsung Health setup.
- Open Samsung Health on the phone, open Settings, choose Services and select Strava.
- Sign in to the Strava account you want to use and approve the requested connection.
- On Watch9 or Watch Ultra2, open the preloaded Strava app and follow its phone sign-in prompt if you want to record with Strava directly.
- Record one short GPS activity, wait for upload and confirm it appears in the intended Strava account before relying on the workflow.
This connection path comes from Strava's current Samsung Health instructions. Samsung's current compatibility page lists Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2 with Android 13 or later and no iOS pairing support, but exact model, phone and regional compatibility can still vary.
What workout data syncs between Samsung Health and Strava?
Strava says GPS-based activities uploaded to Samsung Health sync to Strava. In the other direction, Strava can send route information, activity type, distance, time and calorie estimates to Samsung Health. This is a connected-service workflow, not proof that every historical workout or every field moves both ways.
Strava also says activities without GPS data do not sync to Strava as activities. You can share a non-GPS activity from Samsung Health as a Strava post with an image of its statistics, but that is different from a normal synced activity. If the first test does not appear, check that both apps use the intended Strava account, the Samsung Health service connection is still enabled and the recorded activity includes GPS data.
Who can claim the 60-day Strava trial with Galaxy Watch9 or Watch Ultra2?
Eligibility and renewal terms are market-specific. Samsung's current U.S. offer page says eligible Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2 owners can redeem one 60-day trial per eligible account through July 31, 2027. In the U.S. terms, free Strava accounts can qualify even after an earlier free trial, while an active paid subscription or current trial must end before redemption.
For the U.S. offer, open Strava on the watch, connect the phone, then choose Settings and Promotions in Strava to start the trial. Samsung says the trial becomes a paid annual subscription at the then-current rate unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end. Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are excluded from that U.S. offer. Other countries may use different dates, exclusions, prices or cancellation rules, so read the offer shown for your account before accepting it.
Are Strava Routes already available on every Galaxy Watch?
No universal current availability is established by the reviewed sources. Strava's partnership announcement says native Routes support in Samsung Health begins rolling out to Galaxy Watch users globally in the coming months and was planned for later in 2026. That announcement does not prove the feature is enabled on every watch generation, account, app version or market today.
Do not confuse normal route information that can pass through the Samsung Health connection with full on-watch Strava Routes navigation. Check Samsung Health, the Strava watch app and their current update notes on your own devices. If Routes is absent, keep using the navigation method currently supported by your watch rather than installing unofficial packages or assuming the trial unlocks an unavailable rollout.
What should I check if a run does not sync?
- Account: confirm the phone and watch are signed in to the same intended Strava account.
- Connection: reopen Samsung Health Settings and verify Strava is still enabled under Services.
- Activity type: remember that Strava documents normal activity sync for GPS-based Samsung Health activities; non-GPS sessions use a separate post-sharing path.
- Upload: let the watch and phone reconnect to data or Wi-Fi, then check both Samsung Health and Strava before recording the activity again.
- Duplicate recording: if you record the same workout in both the Samsung Health and Strava watch apps, review which copy you want to keep rather than assuming both records represent separate workouts.
This setup guide does not make health, calorie, recovery or performance-accuracy guarantees. Use the apps' current support channels for persistent account or synchronization failures.
Bottom line
Use Samsung Health on Android to link Strava, then test one GPS workout before depending on the connection. Treat the 60-day trial as a regional, eligibility-based offer with renewal terms, and treat Routes as a staged integration until it appears on your own supported watch and apps.
