Tesla FSD Supervised in Croatia: Approval, Rollout and Driver Checks

Tesla says FSD Supervised is approved in Croatia and rollout will begin soon. Here is how approval differs from vehicle-level access, which hardware boundary is confirmed and what drivers must check.

Direct answer: Tesla's EMEA account announced that FSD Supervised has been approved in Croatia and will begin rolling out soon. Approval does not mean every Croatian vehicle already has access: availability still depends on Tesla's staged delivery, the vehicle configuration, current software and account eligibility. FSD Supervised remains an SAE Level 2 driver-assistance system, so the driver must continuously supervise it and be ready to intervene.

Not a Tesla App's September 29 report links Tesla EMEA's announcement and says national approval is complete. Tesla's Croatia-localized FSD page is live and invites local users to request information. Those facts establish a Croatian approval and rollout event, not an exact activation date for every vehicle.

Is Tesla FSD Supervised approved in Croatia?

Yes. Tesla EMEA announced that Croatia has approved FSD Supervised and that rollout will begin soon. The retained evidence does not name a day when downloads will start or finish, so “soon” should not be rewritten as a guaranteed date.

The approval sits within the European process that began with the Netherlands. The Dutch vehicle authority RDW says it assessed European vehicle data, ran more than 3,000 hours of testing and continues post-approval monitoring. RDW describes the system as driver assistance and says the driver remains part of the safety model.

Croatia is still a country-specific decision. It does not prove that FSD Supervised is approved in every European Union market or that identical features are available everywhere.

Does approval mean every Croatian Tesla has FSD now?

No. Country approval and vehicle-level access are separate checkpoints. Tesla can have permission to offer the feature in Croatia while individual cars wait for an over-the-air release, account entitlement or a compatible configuration.

Before expecting the feature, check all of the following on the actual vehicle and Tesla account:

  1. Open Controls > Software in the vehicle and confirm the installed software version and release notes.
  2. Check the Tesla app and vehicle menu for an FSD Supervised entitlement, purchase, subscription or trial that applies to the account.
  3. Confirm the vehicle hardware and configuration against Tesla's current Croatian terms; do not assume that availability reported for another country or hardware generation applies.
  4. Read the in-car onboarding and driver-monitoring warnings before the first use.

If the feature does not appear, the approval announcement alone is not evidence that the car is missing an update or needs service. Tesla stages software delivery, and the current sources do not publish a universal Croatian completion schedule.

Which hardware is covered by Tesla's European evidence?

Tesla's Article 39 evidence dashboard identifies FSD Supervised on Hardware 4 as the configuration it seeks to launch in Europe. The same dashboard defines the product as an SAE Level 2 advanced driver-assistance system.

That evidence supports a careful Hardware 4 boundary for this guide. It does not establish that Hardware 3 vehicles in Croatia receive the feature at launch. Third-party reporting discusses future or lighter branches for older hardware, but the current official European submission should not be expanded into a Hardware 3 promise.

Model name alone is also not enough. Two vehicles sold under the same model family can differ by build date, hardware, software branch, account entitlement or local terms. The car and account are the final availability surfaces.

What must drivers do before using FSD Supervised?

Tesla's evidence describes FSD Supervised as Level 2: it can control steering and speed in supported situations, but the human driver retains responsibility for monitoring the road and responding when needed. The driver must remain attentive, supervise the system continuously and be prepared to take over immediately.

For the first drives in a newly eligible country:

  • Use the current installed release notes and on-screen instructions, not a video recorded in another market.
  • Keep hands and attention ready for an immediate takeover.
  • Expect differences in roads, signs, lane markings, roundabouts, weather and local driving behavior.
  • Do not treat the name “Full Self-Driving” as permission for unattended or autonomous driving.
  • Stop using the feature and follow Tesla's support route if the vehicle shows a persistent safety, camera or driver-monitoring warning.

What remains unconfirmed?

  • Tesla has not published an exact Croatian rollout start or completion date in the retained sources.
  • Approval does not confirm access for every vehicle, account, purchase state or software branch.
  • The current official European evidence does not establish Hardware 3 availability in Croatia.
  • Croatian approval is not a blanket approval for every EU market.
  • FSD Supervised is not unattended driving and does not remove the driver's responsibility.
