Direct answer: Apple HomeView starts at $299 in the United States for both tabletop and wall-mounted versions. Preorders opened October 13 in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the US, with availability beginning November 13. Siri AI can answer general questions on HomeView itself, while personal-context actions require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, current software and a supported language.

Apple introduced HomeView on October 13 as a shared 7-inch display for entertainment, FaceTime and smart-home control. This post-launch guide focuses on price, release timing and setup boundaries. Our earlier Welcome Home event guide records what Apple had confirmed before the products were announced.

How much does Apple HomeView cost and when is it available?

Apple lists the tabletop HomeView at $299 in the United States in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray. The wall-mounted version also starts at $299 and comes in space gray or silver. Those are U.S. prices, not a promise that converted prices or local taxes will match in other markets.

Preorders opened October 13 in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Singapore preorders begin October 15 at 9 a.m. SGT. Apple says both versions become available November 13 in those countries; South African availability also begins November 13 through authorized resellers.

Apple specifically says HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is not currently available in iOS there. Apple has not announced an EU sale date, so buyers should not treat availability elsewhere as evidence of an imminent EU launch.

Tabletop or wall-mounted: what changes?

Both versions use a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and offer the same core HomeView experience. The tabletop model combines the display with a domed speaker base and adjustable hinge. The wall-mounted model uses audio tuned for on-wall placement and needs a separate Schneider Home mount.

Apple lists the USB-C wall connector from $59.95 and the AC wired mount from $79.95 in the United States. A PoE wired mount is scheduled for early 2027 at $129.95. These mounting accessories are separate from the $299 HomeView price.

What works without an Apple Intelligence iPhone?

HomeView has Siri AI built in. Apple says people without an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad can still use its broad world knowledge, conversational responses and improved music discovery.

The more personal features have a higher requirement. Actions that use Messages, Calendar and other personal context need a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad running current software, with Siri AI enabled and set to a supported language. Setup and multiuser support also require a compatible iPhone or iPad on current software.

HomeView can recognize up to six people and show each person a separate Home Screen. Apple says private content appears only after the enrolled face is recognized and the paired device is present and recently unlocked. That is a useful boundary for households: a shared screen does not mean every user automatically sees another person's messages or calendar.

Siri AI language, beta and usage limits

Siri AI ships in beta in HomeView software 27.2. Apple lists English support in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Canadian French support is planned for a later free software update.

Apple also says some Apple Intelligence features that use server-side models have daily usage limits, with expanded access to be offered for a fee in the future. That means the $299 hardware price does not establish unlimited use of every future Siri AI capability.

Smart-home and subscription boundaries

HomeView can control compatible Apple Home and Matter accessories, show up to nine camera feeds and work with the new Apple Home Collection. Some camera recognition, video history and video-description features require a supported iCloud+ plan. Other media services or third-party apps may require subscriptions, may not exist in every region and may need a paired iPhone nearby.

The practical buying check is therefore broader than price: confirm your market, preferred language, companion iPhone or iPad, intended mount, iCloud+ tier and accessory compatibility before ordering. Apple has announced the launch details, but live stock, local pricing and feature availability can still change.
