Beats 360 is a new over-ear model with replaceable ear and headband cushions, Apple and Android features, IPX4 resistance, and up to 32 hours of battery life in the stated listening mode. The box does not include a USB-C charging cable or power adapter. Beats opened orders on September 22, 2026 and says retail availability begins September 24 at a U.S. price of $349.99.
What did Beats launch?
Beats describes Beats 360 as its new flagship over-ear headphones. The defining hardware idea is not just a color change: both the ear cushions and the headband cushion can be removed and replaced. A matched set of Performance Knit cushions is included, while the softer UltraPlush cushion kits are optional purchases.
The launch also adds active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, voice microphones and USB-C charging. The conceptual image used with this article shows only the idea of replaceable cushions; it is not a photograph or exact rendering of Beats 360.
What Apple features does Beats 360 support?
For Apple users, Beats lists one-touch pairing, Automatic Switching between compatible Apple devices, Audio Sharing, “Hey Siri,” Personalized Spatial Audio and Find My. These are ecosystem features, so they depend on compatible hardware, current software, account setup and regional service availability. Beats specifically says Find My requires iOS 27 or later.
That feature list does not make Beats 360 an AirPods Max accessory match. Headphone cases, stands, cables and replacement parts should be checked against the exact Beats 360 listing or dimensions rather than inferred from another over-ear model.
What Android features does Beats 360 support?
On Android, the official list includes Fast Pair, Audio switch, Find Hub and extra controls through the Beats app. Beats states that its Android app requires Android 15 or later. A phone may therefore support ordinary Bluetooth audio even when a newer app-based feature is unavailable, but buyers should verify the current requirement for the particular control they want.
The safest comparison is feature by feature. Apple and Android both receive core wireless listening, but account discovery, switching, assistant and spatial-audio behavior can differ. Do not treat a shared Bluetooth connection as proof that every ecosystem feature is identical.
Does Beats 360 include a charging cable?
No. Beats lists the headphones, the matched Performance Knit cushion set and a woven carrying case in the box. The USB-C charging cable and USB-C power adapter are sold separately. That is important for a first-day setup: confirm that you already have a suitable USB-C charging source rather than assuming one is packed with the headphones.
Beats rates Fast Fuel at up to one hour of playback after a five-minute charge. “Up to” figures are laboratory-style maximum claims, so real listening time will vary with volume, feature use, calls, environment and battery age.
How long does the battery last?
The official specification gives up to 32 hours with Active Noise Cancellation and Personalized Spatial Audio enabled in its stated test configuration. Beats separately lists up to 24 hours when using Transparency mode. Those figures should not be combined or treated as a guarantee for every mix of listening features.
For travel, the practical lesson is to choose the listening mode you need and plan charging around your own usage. The woven case helps with carrying, but the absence of an included cable means the charging kit remains a separate checklist item.
How do the interchangeable cushions work?
The included Performance Knit material is positioned for airflow and moisture management. Beats also offers optional UltraPlush sets for a different feel. Because the ear cushions and headband cushion are designed to be swapped, buyers can replace worn contact surfaces or change the feel without treating the whole headphone as disposable.
Only use kits identified for Beats 360. A visually similar cushion from another Beats model, AirPods Max or a generic over-ear headphone is not confirmed to fit merely because its shape looks close in photos.
Can I use Beats 360 for workouts?
Beats gives the headphones an IPX4 rating and describes them as sweat and water resistant for non-water sports and exercise. IPX4 is a splash-resistance boundary, not waterproofing. Beats also warns that resistance is not permanent and says not to charge the headphones while wet.
That makes light exercise a supported scenario within the stated limits, but swimming, showering, deliberate soaking or charging before the headphones are dry falls outside the published boundary. Replaceable cushions may make contact surfaces easier to manage over time, but they do not raise the IP rating.
What should buyers verify before ordering?
- Check the exact Apple or Android feature and operating-system requirement you care about.
- Plan for a separate USB-C charging cable and power adapter if you do not already own suitable ones.
- Choose between the included Performance Knit feel and optional UltraPlush kits without assuming every cushion color or kit is included.
- Treat IPX4 as limited splash resistance and let the headphones dry before charging.
- Verify any case, stand, cable or replacement part against Beats 360 specifically; this launch does not establish Erawish or Spigen accessory compatibility.
