A721 hat eine andere Taschen- und Trinkanordnung als A720. Häufig benötigte Dinge kommen nach vorn, leichte Kleidung oder eine kompatible Trinkblase nach hinten. Zwei Kompressionszüge sichern die Rückenlast. Vor dem Start Verschlüsse und Gewichtsverteilung prüfen.

M–L eignet sich für etwa 77–95 cm, L–XL für etwa 90–110 cm Brustumfang. Abnehmbare Brustschnallen lassen sich versetzen. Über der geplanten Kleidung messen und genug Raum zum Atmen und Bewegen lassen. Straffe Gurte gleichen nicht jede falsche Größe aus.

Zoniertes Mesh unterstützt die Belüftung an Rücken, Brust und Fronttaschen. Ohne zusätzliche Inhalte wiegt M–L etwa 172 g, L–XL etwa 186 g; das ist nicht das Gesamtgewicht der Ausrüstung. Flasche und Weste nach Pflegeanleitung reinigen und trocknen. Reflexdetails und Pfeife ersetzen keine Tourenplanung oder geeignete Sicherheitsausrüstung.
